“He handed out gifts above and below, filled heaven with his gifts, filled earth with his gifts. He handed out gifts of apostle, prophet, evangelist, and pastor-teacher to train Christ’s followers in skilled servant work, working within Christ’s body, the church, until we’re all moving rhythmically and easily with each other, efficient and graceful in response to God’s Son, fully mature adults, fully developed within and without, fully alive like Christ.”
When the Bible speaks of “the church,” it is not referring to the pretty sanctuary, nursery rooms, committees or denominations. It is speaking of the people, the body of Christ building and growing God’s Church by interacting daily in homes, neighborhoods, and workplaces, making disciples by making Jesus visible. Here at Grace, we believe each member is critical to helping the Church accomplish the mission.
Everyone is always welcome at Grace! We are so happy that you are interested in getting connected to the Grace faith family. There are a number of options to help you get involved and feel connected to the church no matter where you are on your spiritual journey.
Please stop by the Welcome Center located in the Narthex (foyer) of the Sanctuary, which is set up to welcome folks. Whether you are visiting, a new member or long-time member, the Welcome Center is the hub to find out what’s happening on Sunday mornings.
How to Join Grace
“Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”
Want to know more? New Member Celebration Sundays are scheduled throughout the year. Take advantage of this opportunity to speak with deacons, elders, and a pastor about how God is leading you to membership at Grace. Meet other new members in a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. Then, take the next step!
Check the calendar for upcoming dates. We look forward to seeing you!
