Wednesdays – D3
We meet every week for a time of worship, Bible study, and prayer. Come be encouraged in the middle of the week when you need it most! A delicious dinner will be provided. We meet in Massey-Tucker 207 each Wednesday from 7-8:30 p.m.
This is our monthly opportunity for Student Ministries to serve around our city. Through Project Home we are excited to provide a space and place for students to serve locally. In addition, we hope we are engaging students in hands-on experiences, where they can gain new insights about themselves, their relationship with God, their church community, and the world we are called to love and serve. The High School Team
Angie has served at Grace since December 2014. One of her biggest roles at Grace is cultivating an environment for high school girls that helps them understand that their story is important and that they’re part of a bigger story. She is also passionate about helping students make the Gospel visible in their homes, schools, and communities.
Angie is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Youth Ministry from Kuyper College. While in college, she served at Sunshine Community Church in numerous roles. This church played a formative role in Angie's faith development and calling and gave Angie a passion to share the good news of Jesus. Soon after completing her education, she moved to Texas to serve at First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood where she held the position of Director of Student Ministries for seven years.
In her free time, she loves having a cup of coffee with good friends and sampling new restaurants with her husband, Chandler. You can also find her volunteering with Special Olympics and the Houston Rodeo. She is a big fan of all things Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, Dr. Pepper, seafood, and country music. Angie and Chandler welcomed their first child, Abigail, into the world in July 2016.
Matt joined the Student Ministries staff in March 2017.
Matt graduated from Rice University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. He is joining us from Bayou City Fellowship (Cypress) where he led the Student Ministry since 2015.
Before going to Bayou City, he had been at L’Abri Fellowship International located on Bowen Island, BC Canada for a one year assignment. Prior to that, he had been the Director of Student Ministries at First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood.
He has had other opportunities in sharing the gospel that included being in Barcelona, Spain, with the Barcelona Company/International Mission Board, facilitated and taught weeklong outdoor education programs to students in Colorado, and was a Marathoner/Coach for Team Living Water where he completed and coached a 135+ team to run the Houston Marathon to raise awareness and funds for Living Water International.
