Sunday Mornings: The Forge 10:15-11:30 AM
We call our Sunday morning meeting “The Forge.” It is taken from 1 Peter 1:7 and Proverbs 27:17: we are being refined by fire and sharpening each other like iron sharpens iron. Sunday morning is a fun time to come hang out, eat donuts, worship together and hear God’s word.
“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”
“These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.”
1 Peter 1:7
This is our monthly opportunity for Student Ministries to serve around our city. Through Project Home we are excited to provide a space and place for students to serve locally. In addition, we hope we are engaging students in hands-on experiences, where they can gain new insights about themselves, their relationship with God, their church community, and the world we are called to love and serve. Click here to find out where we are serving and register to join us this month.
This class is designed for 8th grade students who are ready to claim their faith as their own! We will go through the overarching narrative of scripture, the main story that runs from Genesis to Revelation, the Apostle’s Creed, and a statement of faith that affirms our belief in Jesus Christ and connects us to the church throughout the generations. Begins January 8. More information can be found here.
