Mentor Program

Over the past 7 years, Grace Presbyterian Church has partnered with Paul Revere Middle School to provide adults the opportunity to mentor students.

Mentoring, at its core, guarantees students that there is someone who cares about them, assures them they are not alone in dealing with daily challenges, and reminds each student that they matter.  Research confirms that mentoring has a powerful positive effect on students personally, academically, and on their future dreams.

Step 1: Create A Grace Account

Create an account on the Grace website: Create Account

Step 2: Fill Out Application

After confirming your account, log in and fill out the online application: Mentoring Program Application

Step 3: Fill Out Background Check

After applying fill out the required HISD VIPS (Volunteers In Public Schools) background check via Raptor: HISD VIPS Background Check Form

When completing the Background Check please be prepared to: (1)  Supply Valid Government issued ID, (2) Select Revere under the Middle School section on the School Preferences page, (3)  Select Affiliation-Individual, Function-Mentoring, Organization-Other (Grace Mentor Program) on the Volunteer Opportunities page.

Step 4: In-Person Interview

Upon review of your application and background check a member of the Mentor Leadership Team will contact you to set up an in-person interview to be conducted at Grace church.
