Chancel Choir: Wednesdays (September through May), 7:15–8:45 p.m., Choir Rehearsal Room; Director is Dan Fenn
The Chancel Choir sings nearly every Sunday in the 11:15 a.m. worship service in the Sanctuary; rehearsal begins at 10:45 a.m. in the Choir Rehearsal Room. No audition is required, but some music experience is expected. We welcome all singers, high school age through adult. If you enjoy singing in a large choir and like having fun with a great group of folks, then this is the place for you. Come a few minutes early if you are new, and we will get you set up with music and a robe. The Chancel Choir only has three summer Wednesday night rehearsals from 7-9 p.m. on June 7, June 28, and August 2.
The Chancel Choir is the major vocal ensemble at our church. Comprised of singers who enjoy singing in a large choir, membership comes from all segments of the church population and represents a wide variety of talents and experiences. This choir is the regular vocal ensemble for Sunday worship services and other major worship opportunities. In addition, the choir regularly presents major religious choral works with orchestral accompaniment.
Encore Choir: Tuesdays, 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.; Choir Rehearsal Room; Director is Dan Fenn
The Encore Choir is made up of the church’s “singing seniors.” Have fun singing your old favorites and learn a lot of new ones. Enjoy the great hymns you grew up with and also the ones we sing today. No auditions necessary — all you need is a love of music. Besides singing for retirement homes and other places in the community, the Encore Choir sings about once a month in the 9 a.m. Chapel service. The Encore Choir is off for the summer and will resume in September.
Chancel Bells: Wednesdays, 6:00–7:00 p.m.; Handbell Rehearsal Room; Director is Dan Fenn
The Chancel Bells is the adult handbell choir, filled with members who enjoy learning a wide variety of music. We have the opportunity to play in worship once a month and at special times during the church year. This year there are three openings for new ringers. High school students with a music background are encouraged to ring. The Chancel Bells is off for the summer and will resume in September.
