Purchase one house to decorate together or one for each person in your group and make it a fun competition. You can even take one to-go if you don’t have time to stay and decorate it that day. We’ll have other fun activities to enjoy as well… and we’ll do all the messy clean-up for you! Each house costs $25. Click HERE to reserve your spot now!

Church-wide mission effort on Sunday, December 5

We’ve been called, and acting quickly, to help three schools in the Westchase area by providing 300 coats for children in need.  The counselors at these schools have expressed the importance of giving the children something of equal value. In obedience to their request,  we are partnering with Operation Warm to get 300 coats of all sizes here at Grace.

On Sunday, December 5 we have the opportunity to bless these children by purchasing a coat for $25.00 (prior to worship then presenting them as part of the offering and blessing during worship.)

Coats are also available to purchase online HERE.

And as a side-note, but ever so popular, we are having a hot chocolate bar to enjoy while the coat drive is happening! Come early, buy a coat, drink some hot chocolate and share with your friends.

If you need more information or can volunteer on the mission team with coat logistics that day, please contact Kristy Elmore.

God is good! We can’t wait to be a blessing to these children!

Sunday, December 5, The Founders’ Chapel

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”

5:00 p.m. Worship

The holiday season can be difficult for those who are struggling with grief and loss. For others, Jesus’ words in the Beatitudes remind us that mourning is a normal, expected part of our lives in a world that is fragmented. How is God calling us into a richer life with Him, even in the midst of sorrow and pain? As we join together for evening worship we will look at how the season of Advent reflects not only on the savior that came to save us all, but the promise and the hope that comes with knowing He will come again.

 6:00 p.m. Potluck Dinner

Following worship will be a potluck dinner in Massey Tucker Hall. In December please bring your favorite holiday dish-enough to feed your family plus four more. This can be a main dish, side dish, dessert or anything in between. Just drop your goodies in MTH before worship then we’ll enjoy them after worship!

Monday, December 6, 11:00 a.m., MTH

This Christmas event will feature the gifted musician Rob Landes on piano, sharing songs of the season followed by a delicious lunch. Join us on Monday, December 6 at 11:00 a.m. in MT hall. Cost is $15.00, please register HERE.

Thursday, December 9, 4:15-9:30 p.m.

Join us as we visit Braman’s in Richmond, the first winery and brewery under the same roof in Texas. After enjoying a bit of food and drink, those who wish can play wine bingo! Around 7:00 p.m. we will depart from Braman’s to look at the fabulous Christmas lights around the Pecan Grove community. The cost is $2.00 to cover the tip for the bus driver. Please be at the church by 3:45 p.m. for a 4:15 p.m. departure and we should be back by 9:30 p.m.  Please call Sandra Babcock (713-267-5091)  for details or register HERE.

Sunday, December 12, 9:30 a.m. during worship

Written and lead by middle and high schoolers, our kindergarten through fifth graders will explore through music, and wild ride of a script, whether they’re “too little” to bring the Christmas story to the adults and older kids around them. Join us Sunday December 12 as our kinder through high school seniors take over our Sunday morning service and discover if these kids are “Not Too Little” to tell the story of Christ.

Sunday, December 12 following worship

We are excited for our 6th  annual Christmas for the City.  This year we will again be building four walls with Habitat for Humanity and continue our relationship with Kids’ Meals, Inc. to pack 5,000 lunches for preschooler.

Come by the table top Christmas tree located in the Connection Center and choose an ornament. On the backside of the ornament is the name and address of a homebound member. Please send a Christmas card with greetings of joy to your recipient as a way to love on those at home.
