Welcome to Grace Presbyterian Church: Nursery Minstry!

“Let the children come to me. . .”

The Nursery Ministries program is an extension of the nurturing and loving atmosphere that all children experience while at Grace Presbyterian Church. It is provided for all children whose parent(s) or guardian(s) are attending church-sponsored programs or activities. The staff are certified in CPR and first aid and are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for each child. Special care is given to address the special needs or concerns of each child.

For more information about Nursery Ministries, contact Debbie Kay, Nursery Ministries Associate, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday at 713-267-5084 or email her at .

When your baby is born, we will contact you by telephone to welcome the baby and answer your questions, as well as to introduce you to Nursery Ministries. At your first visit we will have a goodie bag for you which contains our Handbook, diaper bag tag, sippy cup, and some other items you will find helpful. You will be encouraged to contact the Nursery Ministries Associate before your first visit to the nursery so that she can arrange to meet you that Sunday morning, introduce you to our staff and give you a tour.

Nursery Ministries welcomes all children and provides a warm and loving childcare environment each Sunday in the Richmond Building from 8:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

  • During the 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. worship services, Nursery Ministries provides childcare for children who are in Kindergarten and younger.
  • During the 10:15-11:00 a.m. education time, Nursery Ministries provides childcare for children who are under the age of 2 by September 1 of the current school year.

Please visit us at the welcome area in the glass hallway of the Richmond Building, and we will be happy to meet your family, check your child into our computerized check-in system, and guide you to your child’s room.

Saturday, April 27, 5-9 p.m.

Parents’ Night Out (PNO) is a program offered by Grace Church to church, school, and community families that provides a safe, fun, Christian environment for children while parents enjoy some much needed free time. We accept children ages three months through Fifth Grade.

Our next Parents’ Night Out will be Saturday, April 27, from 5-9 p.m. We’ve invited Triumph Sports to create their All-Start Sports and Games Tournament for the evening.

The night’s main ingredients are Fun, Friends and Faith! Elementary age kids play games, learn memory verses, and hear a Bible Lesson during the pizza dinner. The program includes games like Capture the Flag, Kickball, and Dodgeball in several different forms. Kids learn or improve skills like throwing, catching, dodging, as well as basic strategy. The schedule is fast-paced and includes 10-12 different games as well as a closing ceremonies. The emphasis is on FUN, not athletic ability, and kids will be grouped together with others from their age group.

Note that for this PNO: PreK Fours will be in a Sunday School classroom with Grace Childcare Workers. They will have centers, snacks, crafts, and a video. We will still place babies through PreK Threes in the nursery.

The deadline for registration is noon on April 19. Cancellations for a refund are accepted if received by this date. Space is limited to registrants only. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept walk-in registrants. If you have questions, please email Lisa Ann Henkel at .
