Lenten Prayer Vigil

As we enter into the final days of the Lenten season, we encourage you to join us in a 36-hour prayer vigil. Our goal is to have at least one person praying for our world, community, and church from 5 p.m. on Good Friday on March 29 through 6 a.m, Easter Sunday, March 31. Please sign up for any 20-minute time slot(s) between 5 p.m. on Good Friday and 6 a.m. on Easter Morning. Sign up for multiple or non-consecutive time slots AND you may sign up someone else! Sign up for your spot HERE.

To help, the Deacon Prayer team has prepared an Easter Prayer Guide with scripture, but your prayer does NOT have to follow any guidelines. Join us in reverence, meditation, or celebration of our risen Christ! Access the prayer guide anytime HERE.

The Easter Vigil proclaims God’s victory over sin and death through Christ’s Resurrection. Join the Grace Family as we conclude the solemn period of Lent and prepare to rejoice in the Resurrection of Christ. This reproduces the experience of the disciples being asked to watch and pray with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane the night before He was Crucified. We encourage you to sign up for a half hour and use this time to pray and meditate from home. This may be done as a solitary experience or along with family or friends. Some people spend this Holy Weekend thinking about the darkness and devastation of Good Friday and the pain of grief. Others spend it with a focus on hope and anticipated joy. Still, others take the opportunity to look back over the mission and ministry of Jesus and discover new ways to make Him visible in their own lives. Let the Spirit guide you.
