The invitation to receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion is extended to all who put their trust in Jesus Christ, remembering that access to the Lord’s Table is not a right conferred upon the worthy but rather a privilege given to the undeserving who come in faith, repentance, and love. We believe in the real presence of Jesus in the Sacrament of Communion, and we believe that the Holy Spirit uses Communion to unite us to Jesus in a special way.
Grace Presbyterian Church celebrates Communion in all worship services, typically on the first Sunday of the month.
Communion Preparations Team
While Elders and Deacons serve Communion, others may help prepare the elements and the Lord’s Table. Communion is one of the two sacraments, a beautiful expression of our faith. Each time we receive communion, the elements of bread and juice have been faithfully prepared for us by loving hands in the congregation. The preparations are done on Saturday mornings and available team members stay after the worship services on Sunday to put things away. If one participates in both Saturday and Sunday, the process is an approximate 3-hour commitment, ten times per year. There is a critical need for four chairs of the Sacristy Team, which is an ideal way for four individuals or two couples to share in an important ministry. The team is also in need of additional members. Many hands make light work. If you would like to serve in this way, please contact , Chair of the Gather Team.
