My Faith Story

My faith story begins at the very beginning of my life. I was raised going to church every Sunday here at Grace. Although I came here every Sunday and was in service during the sermons, I never really paid attention. As I grew up I had a good idea of who God was and what he had done for me, but there was still a part of me that didn't fully comprehend. Growing up in school, I felt like I was always the friend trying to fit in with the rest of the group and sometimes being someone I wasn't. It was sometimes pretty difficult. I often found myself putting others in front of myself, not really thinking about me and trying to be the best friend possible, no matter the circumstances.

Then Jesus, in my late middle school years, showed up. Although I didn't have a moment in my life where Jesus talked to me and went poof there's your life story planned out, I've seen him work through me in little ways and as well as many others including my friends and family. I hope in my high school years to set a good example for others to see how good Jesus is and what he can do in so many lives.

Now I am a firm strong believer in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In my life I hope to create stronger bonds with my friends in student ministry and become more involved with the church I grew up in and have been in all my life.

I believe in God our father, redeemer and maker of heaven and earth. Regardless of our flaws He saw through them all, and sent His one and only son Jesus to die for our sins on the cross. Not only did He do this for all creation on earth, but He also placed the Holy Spirit in all who believed in him. Those who believe have the power to do all things through Christ who strengthens them. I am and will forever be grateful for the things Lord God has done for me as an individual.

I would like to be a covenant partner at Grace Presbyterian Church because I feel great things will happen here. I, as well, think Grace will help me grow in my relationship with Christ through the tough and easy times. I plan to be more active in all aspects of church. I especially want to focus on Sunday school class. I think that I can step up and become a mentor to some of the middle schoolers and be someone they can come up to when facing a problem with anything. I believe God has given me the spiritual gifts of learning, giving, helping, and supporting. These could be used in many ways at Grace Church and I can't wait to see what God has in store for me.
