Grace Weekly

  1. MEN'S LIFE BREAKFAST
  2. Grace is excited to announce a new inter-generational men's breakfast meeting, starting Wednesday, May 1. This new event, Men's Life, will meet the first and third Wednesday of each month. Doors will open at at 6 a.m. and we will meet in Massey-Tucker Fellowship Hall. Breakfast will be served! Morning will start promptly at 6:15 and we will end by 7:45 a.m.

We are delighted that our first gathering will feature Bill Brown, "The Voice of the Astros" for 25 years. His anecdotes of his experiences in that role and interacting with the Astros' legends over 25+ years are priceless. Bill, a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, sees sports, work, family, life, and the world from a mature perspective we all long for.

Bill's appearance at the opening meeting of Men's Life illustrates the theme and tone of this important series: what should the life of a genuine man - a man who sincerely desires to know and follow Jesus Christ - look like? Men's Life intends to bring together, in a relaxed, inviting, and engaging setting, men at various stages of their spiritual and chronological journey. With the friendly and non-threatening interaction of men of all ages will produce meaningful relationships for decades to come!

PLEASE REGISTER BY TOMORROW, April 26 HERE so we know how much food to prepare! This Kick-off breakfast will be a full breakfast, so come hungry!

  3. DISCIPLING LUNCHEON
  4. A quarterly luncheon to bring everyone who is in an intentional discipling group at Grace (Men’s, Women’s, Disciple Groups) together for a meal, fellowship, and training on how to grow as a disciple who makes disciples. In this time, we will explore what it means to make disciples, how we can make disciples in and outside the church, and further gain valuable resources to assist you as you “go and make disciples!”

Join us Sunday, May 5, 12:15-1:30 p.m., MT Fellowship Hall. Register HERE. Contact Jordan Goodie for more details.

  5. VBS SUPPORT
  6. We can't take on such a big adventure without your help! We are on a pace to have a record number of children join us this Summer. That means we need A LOT of people sharing their time to lead and care for everyone on campus! Adults may register to volunteer HERE and teen volunteers (entering seventh grade through entering College in the Fall of 2024) may register HERE.

We also need donations to purchase crafts, supplies, and snacks to fuel this great big journey. With your donation, hundreds of kids will get to hear about a BIG God who loves them more than they could ever imagine. They will learn how amazing it is to follow Jesus and live the way He taught us. You may make a gift HERE. In addition, the VBS Amazon wishlist is live HERE for you to help with supplies--it is your chance to buy six pounds of rainbow sprinkles!

GOOD NEWS OF THE WEEK

We celebrate the things that we have offered to God that are bearing fruit-- We celebrate what God is doing!

Betty Westbrook’s story is truly one of resilience and unwavering faith. Despite facing numerous personal setbacks throughout her life, she and her husband, Ralph, remained dedicated members of Grace Presbyterian Church, actively supporting Student Ministries. In the face of adversity, she never wavered, Her decision to become a Stephen Minister exemplifies her selflessness and desire to support others through their times of hardship.

When she passed away in 2020, Betty left behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and devotion to her faith. In a final act of generosity and devotion to Grace Presbyterian and to The Brookwood Community, Betty shared her earthy treasures to support ongoing mission and ministries. Her legacy will continue to inspire and uplift others for generations to come.

You may watch Grace deacon Jo Swank’s personal reflection HERE. Jo’s presentation begins at the 1:07 mark. We hope Betty’s remarkable story will help you to prayerfully consider your next right step of generosity.
