Weekly Summer Events include Thursday breakfasts at Chick-fil-a, High School Pool Party/Bible Studies on Tuesdays, and Middle School Pool Party/Bible Studies on Wednesdays. 

High School Mission Trip Reunion
Tuesday | July 7 | 4-5:30 p.m. | City Centre
Meet us at CityCentre and then we will carpool to the High School Pool Party Bible Study! We’ll remember the good old days in Montana!

Middle School Mission Trip Reunion
Sunday | July 26 | noon–1:30 p.m. | Grace
Lunch at Grace right after Sunday Morning. Let’s get together for another hoorah before we forget everything about the trip!

This year we will have a boys pre-party and a girls pre-party AND then we will have a combined pre-party. After that, we will party our way to the ultimate middle school and high school pool party of the summer. Meet at Grace at 11:30 a.m. (please eat lunch before) and then get picked up at 7 p.m.

Activate 2026
Sunday | August 9 | 5 -7 p.m. | Sanctuary
Activate is a night of student-led worship for the entire congregation. We invite everyone to bring their entire family and all their friends to experience evening worship orchestrated by our students.

Summer Hang at the Hortons
Friday | June 26 | 6:30 p.m.
Join us at Jamie & Thomas Horton’s home for a fun night of food, games, and fellowship for the whole family! Parents can hang out together while our Family Ministries staff hangs out with the kids! Come join the fun!

Family Summer Storytime
Wednesday | July 15, July 22 | 10-11 a.m.
Parents and kids are invited to join us in Massey-Tucker Fellowship Hall for crafts and activities themed around amazing true stories from the Bible!

Sunday Funday
Sunday | July 19, August 9 | 11 a.m.-noon (during Equipping Hour)
Rising kindergarten–third graders will gather with us in The Backyard for special themed activities!

Backyard Beach Break
Tuesday | July 21 | 1-4 p.m. | The Backyard
Let us take the kids for a Backyard Beach Break! While you get a breather, lots of fun awaits each age group: Nursery, Preschool, K-third grade, and fourth–fifth grade. Games, music, crafts…it’s gonna be a blast! Cost is $15 per child with limited spots available. Register HERE.

Fourth & Fifth Grade Fun Day
Friday | August 7 | 6:30-8 p.m. | Westchester Pool
Rising fourth and fifth graders will kick-off the new school year with a pool party at the Westchester Pool (14703 Chadbourne Dr, 77079) with good food and lots of fun! Come meet our Children’s Ministries Team, see your old friends, and make some new friends as we get ready for an awesome year of ministry! Register HERE.




HAPPY 150TH TO GRACE PRESBYTERIAN!



150th Birthday Celebration is set for Sunday, August 23!

For 150 years, Grace Presbyterian has been a fixture of faith in Houston, and we are going to celebrate. From humble beginnings downtown through today, it's incredible to see how God has moved through this church. We mark every milestone and every life changed as we celebrate God's faithfulness, but we're even more excited about what's next. We step into the future with hope and anticipation, ready to see how God will continue to use us in the years to come.

Planning is underway to mark this exciting time in the life of Grace. We will have a look back at our history, special worship time, games, serve opportunities, the yearly Ministry Fair, and delicious food all during our normal Sunday worship and Equipping Hour time. This is a perfect opportunity to invite friends and neighbors, so start thinking about who you would want to step out and invite that day!

CAKE MIX
It's a birthday party, so bring a gift! We would love you to bring funfetti icing or boxed cake mix for us to give to neighborhood schools and serve partners so everyone can make a cake and celebrate a birthday! You can bring the mixes to Grace and put them in the baskets in the Narthex, or click HERE and have it shipped right to us! Easy as pie... or cake.




SATURDAY SERVE



This Saturday, June 27
Join us as we serve breakfast to children and families receiving care through the programs at Bo's Place. We will meet at Grace at 8 a.m. (or you may meet us directly at Bo's Place), and ride over together. Bo's Place has a special mission of serving children and families who have lost a loved one, walking alongside them through the grieving process with care, support, and community. This is a meaningful opportunity to show love and encouragement to families during a difficult season. Youth are welcome to join us, accompanied by a parent. Register HERE.

GOOD NEWS OF THE WEEK

We celebrate the things that we have offered to God that are bearing fruit—We celebrate what God is doing!

Last week, Grace's high school students (rising tenth graders through graduated seniors) traveled all the way to Whitefish, Montana to partner with our great friend and former student minister here, Matt Davis. With Matt, they led a VBS, evangelized, and helped at Farming for the Future, Gateway Communities, and Flathead Industries! There were sweet worship experiences, new friends from Christ Lutheran Church, and time in God's beauty at Glacier National Park. THE BIBLE IN A YEAR UPDATES

The complete summer reading plan is available in the church lobby and online HERE.  Also available are the wonderful overview posters from The Bible Project to help give you a better understanding of the themes and stories in each of the books we read. They are also available online HERE, along with the accompanying videos for each book. You can do this! Whatever your situation, nothing will benefit you more than diving deeply into God's transforming Word.

HERE you will find a multitude of other resources to help you with the reading plan, including videos, podcasts, and articles to bring greater insight to what you have read. You will also find recaps and summaries of sections for times when you may fall behind. Keep up the good work!

This Sunday we continue through the New Testament with the The Bible in a Year study, this week looking into Acts 2:42-47. There will be a Children at the Chancel time, and we will be commissioning our new Stephen Ministers, as well. See you at 9:30 a.m.!
